Tyrone graduated with a B.F.A. Degree from the Memphis Academy of Arts (later changed to the Memphis College of Arts). He worked as an interior designer for commercial properties and as a home furnishing fashion coordinator for Federated Department Stores. He later returned to the family business in Southwest Arkansas, where he lived with his wife, Barbara, and two daughters, Whitney and Fielding.

Tyrone became well recognized, with work appearing in many national publications, such as Southern Accents, Desert Heritage, as well as art and southwestern magazines. Collectors include various corporations, such as The Butler Center for Arkansas Studies, the Stephens Corporation,

Little Rock Convention Center, and several hospitals. He may be found in the Encyclopedia of Arkansas for his artistic accomplishments.
